Join us and help us shape the future of Catholic Education in Leicestershire.

The St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Multi-Academy Trust are looking to appoint two Subject Leaders for Mathematics within schools in our group.  Both schools have a stable team of Mathematics Subject Specialists and Support Staff, who are committed to driving student learning using the robust schemes of work, which are already in place.  The successful candidates will be supported by a CMAT Director of Maths.  Both vacancies have been generated by promotion of post-holders, as senior leaders within their schools.

De Lisle College is a thriving and successful 11-18 Catholic College.  The Mathematics Faculty embraces a mastery approach to teaching, developed in-line with the principles of the NCETM endorsed Shanghai Mastery Project.  The curriculum is ambitious and well-sequenced, ensuring that all learners flourish, and are able to apply their knowledge to the real world.  Uptake at KS5 is very strong; every year our most able students take Further Maths as a 4th A Level, alongside their other studies.  Students in all year groups are provided with enrichment opportunities through participation in the UKMT challenges.  The school is committed to instilling the values of the Catholic faith in their students, enabling them to flourish in the world beyond school.

English Martyrs’ Catholic Academy is an oversubscribed 11-18 school, with an outstanding sixth form situated on an attractive modern site in north Leicester.  The Mathematics Department is committed to ensuring that all students become excellent mathematicians, confident in number and mathematical reasoning.  To achieve this, the school provides a carefully sequenced curriculum, which is ambitious for all students, enabling each student to build their knowledge year on year.  Mathematics and Further Maths are popular A Level options with a strong track record of attainment.  English Martyrs’ Catholic Academy offers students a rich and varied extra-curriculum offer and the Mathematics Department take a full part in this, with students involved in the UKMT challenges, throughout the key stages.

We can offer the successful candidate:

  • enthusiastic and ambitious children who are keen to learn
  • a highly supportive and ambitious Catholic Multi-Academy Trust Board and Governing Body
  • a school which is fully staffed by a dedicated, well qualified teaching and support team committed to supporting the school and its pupils
